Landscaper Utilizes a Beaver Tail Box Truck

I don’t see many landscapers using box or cube bodies for their business. I spotted this one in Tampa, Florida using a tandem cut-away chassis with a cube walk-through body. The interesting addition is what is known as a “Beaver Tail.” This extension off the rear of the body adds a split-ramp allowing for easy egress and regress from the body where equipment, supplies and plants may be stored.


Although the body was built by American Commercial in the Clearwater, Fl area. I’m not sure who built or added the beaver tail. but I did find a similar product at:
