Iveco is the latest manufacturer to sign on the dotted line to be in attendance at the UK’s premier LCV hands-on driving event, taking place at the home of British motor sport, Silverstone, on 20 & 21 September. Ably supported by one of its main dealer groups, Guest Trucks and Northern Commercials, Iveco will be giving DriveVansA2Z visitors the opportunity to test drive a selection of the new, latest generation Daily E6. The timing couldn’t be better with deliveries of right-hand drive models to UK operators and fleets just starting to making their presence felt out on the roads.
The launch of the latest Daily sees Iveco raise the bar in its sector with the introduction of features that use technology to push the boundaries of performance, raise comfort, deliver more connectivity and lower the total cost of ownership. At the heart of the new range is an extended Euro 6 engine family, including models which deliver up to eight per cent fuel savings and up to 12 per cent savings on repair and maintenance costs. The cab has been completely re-worked, significantly, increasing comfort and reducing noise by 4dB.
Iveco Daily E6 Hi-MaticThe icing on the cake is that visitors to DriveVansA2Z will be able to experience Iveco’s new Hi-Matic eight-speed automatic transmission in real-world conditions. Developed in conjunction with world renowned specialist company ZF, Hi-Matic is the same type of transmission found in premium cars manufactured by sister group companies Jeep and Maserati. It can change gear more quickly and precisely than even the best driver, needing less than 200 milliseconds for a shift, bringing what Iveco describes as ‘absolute driving pleasure’.
Key to the new model range is the revolutionary DAILY BUSINESS UP app for tablets and smartphones, taking on-board connectivity beyond the concept of infotainment and turning Daily E6 into a professional work tool with its very own app. It brings with it features such as a Driving Style Evaluation (DSE) system, Sygic professional navigation and even providing a direct link to Assistance Non-Stop, Iveco’s 24/7 roadside assistance service.
