Croz Custom Metal Fabrication's Sweet Welder

Don Crossley, owner/operator of this sweet welder style truck, has designed a body that does everything he needs and allows him to take virtually everything he needs to a job and stay working. He has a place for everything. Nooks and crannies galore. Excellent equipment, all the supplies he would normally use. He even has plenty of electrical power with a 3,000 watt inverter aboard.

I had such a good time taking photos of his truck, that we are putting a rare slideshow in rather than a few photos. You have to see all the little storage spaces and open cabinets and how it all works together. It's a great truck, and matched up to a Chevy 84"CA chassis with the 6.6 liter DuraMax diesel and Allison automatic. Enjoy.

Knapheide Raised TSR w/Bedslide On Extended Cab

Here's a sweet setup of a very useful body on a Chevy HD 3/4-Ton Extended Cab Chassis with a 6.0 Gas V8. This one has the uplevel LT1 package so it is a lot more than just a work truck.

The working end of this truck has a Knapheide 8' Service HD Body with a 2-piece Raised Telescopic Sliding Roof (TSR), Forklift Loadable Rack, Class IV Receiver, and a 1200 lb. rated IFW Bedslide. The top cover slides back opening about 50% of the bed area and that will allow taller items to be carried occasionally. The best thing is the bedslide which allows access to the whole of the compartment without ever climbing in there yourself. That's a good thing. The bedslide has three lock positions, one all the way in, the middle, and the end. The photo above shows it in the middle position, so you can slide it all the way out and access the items in the very front of the body.

False Floor In Service Body Is Most Helpful

Robbins Quality Garage Doors, Inc was doing some work at the dealership we are working with and I just loved the way he has set up his service body. He has a false floor with some dividers to transport special items and keep them out of sight as well. You can't access them unless the door is opened. Notice the two ladders tucked in the larger compartment. Mr. Robbins says "you can never have enough ladders." The cargo area on the service body is lined with treadplate for additional durability.

This Harbor service body is mounted on a diesel HD 3/4-ton extended cab chassis with the LT1 package. That makes a sweet rig to move around in. Notice also the custom stainless steel rack that he's installed. It's designed to be able to carry large items up there like garage doors and have them well supported and an even load. Looks like this does the job.

Dodge 5500 Rollback and Wilers Tow Service

After seeing this truck drop off a unit, I had to take some shots. I've seen some of the new Dodge wreckers, but not a rollback. Looks great!

American Cargo by Midway Offers Rivet-less Aluminum Body

American Cargo by Midway is proud to offer Rivet-less, bonded aluminum body construction as an alternative to FRP or the more common riveted aluminum body. Many times customers who liked the features of the smooth exterior finish of FRP, while still wanting the benefits of interior plywood lining and aluminum wall posts. American Cargo can now offer the best of both worlds! They bond their .040 aluminum sheets directly to the aluminum wall posts (which are on 16” centers) with an aircraft strength adhesive. They then finish off the interior with plywood lining. You have an almost seamless exterior finish. For example, on a 15’ body, there are three discreet vertical body seams on each sidewall.

This is a great application where the customer would like a smooth exterior for decal or graphic application, yet utilize the interior for installing shelving, etc.

Harbor Crane Body On Ford F350 60" CA

This is a sweet little 9' Harbor Crane Body with and Autocrane 3203, stainless steel vise bracket with pipe holder and the front of the body. It also has a cab guard, side mounted ladder rack and caution light. All of this with the quality of Harbor Truck Bodies service body and mounted on a Ford F350 60" CA chassis. A nice combination for sure. I think it is also a 4x4. This unit was spied at Hansel Ford in Santa Rosa getting ready for delivery to the City of Santa Rosa.

Sprinter FedEx Van by American Cargo

Here's a great solution for delivery: The Sprinter delivery van. This is one of many built by American Cargo by Midway. It is made of 5/8" FRP, 15.5' long by 84" height by 96" width. It includes 2"x6" dense pine flooring, fiberglass wind faring at front of the body, tall walk through access door, 60"x 77.5" rear roll-up door, full width step bumper with pooched step, 36" curbside sliding door with 2-step aluminum step well and 2-Halogen interior dome lights.
