Even though this video (movie) is from 1936, it applies as much today as then. This is one of the best demonstrations we have seen on what a full floating rear axle is and what it means. This application is most often found in 3/4-ton and larger trucks. It's easy to tell a full floating rear axles because of the bolts seen on the outside of the axle shaft. -- CTS
